If you are on government assistance such as Food Stamps, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medicaid, CHIP, LIHEAP, Housing Assistance, Low Income Program or TANF (More programs may apply), you may qualify for Lifeline/Linkup which help provides government assisted cell phone service. See usac.org for qualifying programs and more information on the lifeline / linkup programs. Non-lifeline customers can also take advantage of service but will not receive the lifeline / linkup subsidy. Approved programs may change depending on state.
